High aspect ratio Parylene-C micropillars for cellular force measurement

Living cells sense and respond to various signals through the generation of traction force. Here, we show “top-down” fabrication of a highly ordered array of flexible SiO2/Parylene C micropillars standing on the Si substrate that can be used as a probe to quantify the force generated from cells.
